THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, THE GOSPEL OF THE TRUTH
(GALATIANS 1:8-9)

In the present era there are many developed teachings and understandings. There is an understanding of tradition, religion, modern understanding and others. Each shows its own truth and tells its own story. For Christians, above all understandings and news there is a message of truth that brings every one who hears and believes to be saved. The message is the message of salvation that is the gospel of Jesus Christ. All the news can be interesting, all understand can be amazing, but in the end can not save and give eternal life to its adherents, only the gospel news that can save.
The text we read is part of the Apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians. The situation of the Galatians at that time was being shaken by the tradition of Torah or customs and understandings of heresies like the spirits of the world and keeping certain days. In the passage  explains why the Apostle Paul emphatically rejected this false teaching. Our Thema in this day is the Gospel of Christ, the Gospel of Truth. This will be divided into 2 important points:

1. The Apostle Paul's Apostasy to The Galatians
The condition of the Galatian church at that time was in turmoil because there were certain individuals who twisted the gospel of Christ and the apostle Paul was amazed at them because some of them turned away from the gospel of truth and followed the misguided gospel. Because of this situation the Apostle Paul firmly rebuked them. The Apostle Paul said the other news was not the Gospel. The gospel is the message of salvation in which God sacrificed his son Jesus Christ to atone for the sins of mankind. Salvation is not to do external things. The apostle Paul was also so, when he was not yet converted, when he had not yet met Jesus. He was once a persecutor of the Christian congregation, a lover of Judaism. But when he met the risen Jesus as he went to Damascus to persecute the Christian church, he saw the risen Jesus live and talk to him. It made him blind. After 3 days he healed through the priest Ananias. Because of the incident, he finally repented. After he was converted finally the Apostle Paul preached the gospel message that is the salvation of the truth. Where in the Galatians, the Gospel is twisted by some persons. So it is not surprising that the Apostle Paul opposed false teaching and rebuked the Galatians for there is no salvation outside the gospel.

2. Cursed be the One who Preaches Another
In verses 8-9, the Apostle Paul twice said that if anyone preaches another gospel or a message different from the preached gospel of Jesus Christ, “Cursed be he! (anathema esto)”. Not only does it apply to humans, even the angels in Heaven if they preach another different gospel “cursed him”! From this verse the Apostle Paul seriously declares that true truth exists only in Jesus Christ, not others. It's a dead price! Absolute Price! The gospel of Christ should not be twisted if there is such, cursed him. So, be careful with teaching.
The Word of God today is written not only for the Galatians but for the most important and foremost for us hearers of God's Word today. The true news is the gospel message which is the news of joy in which God has bestowed His grace upon all men through the cross of Jesus Christ. External activities such as giving sacrifice, circumcision, worship, fasting alms and so on, do not save. It's all just our thanksgiving to God. The one who can save sinful man is not human effort, not himself  but God above the people. Therefore, do not waste the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross by fleeing to false teachings. Where in the world, above the heavens or beneath the earth whose God came to the world to atone for the sins of his people as sacrifices to save his people? No is not it? Only Jesus Christ does it, there is no other. So, let's continue to persevere in faith. Grateful for the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, do not run to other teachings just for a delicious life, just for the rich, and just for many friends. Treasure, position and friend will surely leave, after we leave this world. So where will we go? What is our reward? Eternal death or eternal life? The Lord Jesus Christ has overcome sin and death, He also said, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. "It means in Jesus Christ there is life and eternal life with the Father in Heaven. For that, whatever happens in our lives, love, sorrow, tears, persecution? Illness? Stay steadfast in the faith and teachings of the gospel. Our life in this world is only temporary, do not waste time for the mortal, come to Jesus. Again, let us persevere in faith, remain firm and unsteady and do not want to be removed from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard throughout nature under the heavens.
Blessed be God for His Word, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and do that. Amen.

    Permisi, mohon izin untuk komentar sedikit..

    Apabila kita bertanya kepada seorang pengikut Saksi saksi Yehuwa, : "Apakah Yesus Kristus itu adalah Tuhan?", Maka mereka akan cenderung menyarankan kita untuk mengikuti situs blog jw.org atau bahkan mengajak untuk mengunjungi "balai kerajaan" mereka. Selain Islam yang gencar menghujat Kristus, ternyata ada golongan internal yang dekat dengan komunitas Kristen, yang membawa bawa Alkitab dengan tujuan akhir untuk mengajak memelintir ajaran Tuhan Yesus Kristus.
    Saya sudah puas menerima hujatan Muslim di dunia nyata maupun di internet. Bagaimana caranya supaya kita bisa memblokir pergerakan saksi saksi Yehuwa di Indonesia?, Ataukah itu tidak perlu ? Atau bahkan tidak boleh kita larang?.

      Kita tidak bisa memblokir pergerakan mereka. Namun ketika kita tahu ajaran mereka itu salah, saya sarankan beberapa hal yang perlu kita lakukan:
      1. Doakan supaya Tuhan sendiri yang bertindak untuk mereka
      2. Jika kamu sudah tahu apa itu keselamatan, marilah gencar untuk menyampaikan kabar baik tersebut, baik dengan PI pribadi, kelompok PA, Medsosmu dan segala yang ada padamu. (membuat blog ini adalah salah satu cara saya membagikan kabar baik kepada semua orang)
      3. Jika diperlukan, saat kamu ketemu dengan SSY, kamu bisa menjawab mereka dengan kasih, dengan menyatakan apa sebenarnya yang benar. Banyak dari mereka dengan polos membagikan ajarannya tanpa tahu bahwa yang dibagikan oleh mereka telah menyimpang.

      kita memang harus bertindak, bukankah Tuhan juga memerintahkan dalam Firman-Nya> tetapi, caranya bukan dengan perang, tetapi dengan doa dan usaha, kita harus memiliki beban untuk mengenalkan siapa Yesus, apa itu anugerah keselamatan, supaya akhirnya banyak yang diselamatkan dan semakin berkurangnya orang-orang yang tersesat.

In addition to Islam that is vigorously blaspheming Christ, it turns out there are internal groups close to the Christian community, who carry a Bible with the ultimate goal of inviting the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.
    I am satisfied to accept Muslim blasphemy in the real world and on the internet. How can we block the movement of Jehovah's witnesses in Indonesia? Or is that unnecessary? Or should we not even ban it?
